Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Professional Services Manager is responsible for the refinement and implementation of recruiting strategies, to include specialized technical resource acquisition and placement throughout the United States.​ The ability to develop strong communication channels with clients, vendors, consultants, and company personnel is crucial to business success.​

To achieve this, the incumbent must provide excellent service to contracted clients and resources by earning their respect, acting with the greatest amount of professionalism and expressing the highest sense of urgency.​

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement best practice sourcing strategies relevant to acquisition and placement.​ * Develop an understanding of future business objectives in order to design and implement consistent and efficient processes and systems for the acquisition of world class talent.​ * Participate in the process for selecting and managing vendors.​ * Manage the vendor selection and negotiation process; establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors; monitor contract compliance and adjust sourcing strategies based on changing business needs.​ * Manage and mentor recruitment resources to ensure sourcing processes are performed in a consistent manner.​ * Drive annual productivity improvements.​ Develop, champion and ensure implementation of ideas that will optimize the Company’s expenditures in this area.​ * Monitor contract compliance and customer satisfaction.​ * Ensure strategies are implemented and cost reduction is realized.​ * Remain current with market trends through relationships with vendors and market experts and identify and communicate new technologies and solutions.​ * Work effectively with key stakeholders to ensure best practices are widely adopted by Company’s operating units.​ * Develops calling and placement strategies to support sourcing efforts.​ * Negotiates contracts according to company policies and specifications.​ * Generates net headcount growth, managing overall profitability within current and new clients.​ * Keeps abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products.​ * Demonstrates industry knowledge and familiarity with IBM tools and technologies.​ * Maintains contact with consultants during assignments/​projects at client sites to remain aware of project status, gathering feedback from Consultant and client about progress/​performance, and resolving consultant issues.​ * Maintains timely and accurate pipeline to include contacts, call activity, and opportunity management.​ * Creates presentations and speaking materials as needed.​ * Travel up to 50%​, based on sourcing needs.​ * Performs other duties as assigned.​

Management Process:

* Identifies networking activities such as attending career fairs, professional association meetings, calling on educational institutions, and outplacement services.​ * Maintains excellent documentation with the company’s on-line system as well as hard files within the corporate office.​ * Ensures contractors are met by a company representative on the first day of their assignment at the client site.​ * Builds relationships with contract employees through different activities.​

Communication Skills:

* Must demonstrate strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.​ * Must perform duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.​ * Must demonstrate organizational and problem solving abilities.​ * Must demonstrate the ability to influence without direct control and/​or authority.​ * Must possess the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret statistical information.​

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.​ * Requires ability to effectively multi-task and function in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.​ * 4-8 years experience in resource acquisition and placement of technical resources.​ * Basic knowledge of terms such as SOA, WebSphere, Process Server, Portal Development, Rational, RUP, Agile, Java, XML, J2EE.​ * PC literate in Windows environment including MS Office and Internet.​ * Ability to work successfully in fast-paced, complex, results-oriented, multi-national business environments.​
