Description
Initial training will be in West Palm Beach, FL. Ultimately, this position is located on Andros Island, Bahamas.
Oversees all electrical utilities systems and responsible for all preventive & corrective utilities maintenance on the AUTEC Project.
Essential Job Functions
* Input recommendations for new electrical installations.
* Program oversight of electrical safety program and training.
* Audits supply inventories and bench stock to ensure that usage is consistent with scheduled work activities.
* Provides project oversight as determined by engineers and/or management.
* Coordinates digging and climbing permits as required.
* Ensures work environment meets all safety and environmental requirements.
* Initiates requisitions for supplies, printing, maintenance or other services.
* Attends meetings as required.
* Works in an on-call status as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* 10+ years experience in Electrical Maintenance.
* Proficient in reading and understanding drawings, blueprints and schematics.
* Electrician skills at the Master Electrician level.
* Valid driver’s license and passport required.
* Master Electrician’s License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.
Other Qualifications
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural team-oriented environment.
* Working knowledge of fax and photocopier.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Word and Excel.
* Ability to work with voltages higher than 2400.
* Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing and coordinating work load.
* Flexible, open-minded, and imaginative in adapting to change.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
* Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds of supplies of varying types.
