About the Job
Assignment
Security administrator with a minimum of 5 years experience. The security administrator is responsible for the day-to-day security of a multi-location LAN and WAN network, including Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, security logging appliances, and Windows & Unix servers. They are also responsible for maintaining day-to-day PCI security compliance of the network and servers.
Primary Responsibilities
1) Manage and administer Cisco ASA firewalls. Manage Cisco Intrusion Detection Systems.
2) Perform/coordinate penetration testing, external/internal vulnerability tests, and perform security assessments on application and environment changes.
3) Coordinate and maintain an Incident Response Plan. Oversee the security awareness program supporting the payment cards and the PCI environment.
4) Coordinate annual review of security policies; ensure policy addresses all PCI DSS requirements; create mitigation plans to bridge identified gaps.
5) Maintain and review security logs on a daily basis. Work closely with Network Administrators and System Administrators to fine tune alerting and logging rules.
Required General Skills
1) Working experience with PCI DSS compliance.
2) Expert-level knowledge of intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and security logging appliances (Cisco preferred).
3) Ability to coordinate efforts across multi-discipline technical team. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4) Familiarity with networking best practices. Understanding of current and emerging security tools and processes.
Required Technical Skills
1) Security Specialist - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Strong security architecture skills. Broad experience in I.T. security practices, tools, and standards. Working knowledge of PCI DSS.
2) Network Operations - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
Working knowledge of network configurations, operations, and security.
Preferred Technical Skills
1) Architect-Technical - Novice with 1 year(s) experience.
Familiarity with I.T. architecture best practices. Ability to comfortably converse with other technical disciplines to create a broad and deep security environment.
