Position Description
Cisco Engineer
Vaco Technology has an immediate CONTRACT-TO-HIRE opportunity for a Senior Cisco VOIP Engineer.
This person would be a senior member of a team, who would be responsible for the development, implementation and support of Application and Infrastructure Systems and Services. This person will be responsible for both Voice and data Globally. Spoken and written English skills required. Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
Should be skilled in most if not all of the following -
Routers, switches, firewalls, CCM, CCMX, IPCC Enterprise, Unity, Unity Express, voice Gateways, voice gatekeeper.
IPCC scripting on both CCM Express and Enterprise
Wireless, QOS, Multicast, VOIP, VideoOIP, FOIP.
TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, IPSec, GRE, DMVPN, ATM, Frame Relay, RADIUS, TACACS+, DNS, DHCP.
Remedy, PRTG, Sitescope, TOPAZ, NetQos.
Work in a NOC and/or dealing with third parties is advantages. Working in a contact Center environment is also advantageous.
Any involvement in Telephony convergence is beneficial.
Scope:
Five or more years of solid experience in the IS industry, which includes significant experience in the technology listed in the position summary. Lead projects from initial requirement to implementation, providing detailed documentation. Provide technical leadership to a technical team of 3-6 people on full network architecture crossing all platforms and technologies. Operates with a global perspective continually.
Requirements:
Principle Accountabilities: Conceptualize, design, develops, test, implement and maintain networks to provide the high quality integrated data highwayon time and within budget. Ensures the smooth integration of new networks into the existing architecture. Uses both business knowledge and technology to propose value-added solutions for the business challenges to reduce cost, improve service, and our competitive advantage. Identifies technical deployment opportunities within the business and creates business cases for those. Delivers services that meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLA) while identifying and implementing continuous improvements affecting telephony, network availability or services. Maintains and analyzes the output from the systems which manage and monitor the Enterprise network (Voice and Data systems.) Analyzes and resolves system problems and root causes involving Telephony and network hardware, software, protocols, communication links, or peripheral equipment to minimize downtime of systems and services. Manages voice and data network utilization and capacity planning. Provides on-call support as needed.
