Job Description
You will perform hardware and software analysis to meet user requirements, along with the design, and installation of TACLAN operating systems, servers, and applications. You will oversee development and implementation of system specifications, designs, integration, testing, and documentation. Also ensure compliance with QA standards. This position requires a TS/SCI. Additional responsibilities include:
Responsibilities:
* Establish and monitor project schedules and ensure adherence to work deadlines. * Supervises systems engineering staff.· Conducts market research to identify products based on hardware and software specifications.
· Provides leadership on the quality improvements associated with the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) Level 3 engineering processes.
· Reviews and analyzes complex task statements, standards, specifications, and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.
· Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
· Performs system requirement analyses and specifications.
· Conceives system designs, performs modeling and trade-off studies, and prepares recommendations and system specifications.
· Establishes test plans and determines appropriate test criteria and procedures
· Provides cost analysis such as purchase cost, maintenance cost, expendables
* Conducts technical demonstrations * Work on more complex assignmentsRequired Experience:
* Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. * At least 8 years experience in engineering, development, and administration of LAN operating systems, servers, and applications. * At least 2 years experience as overall technical lead for development, operations, testing, integration, or fielding of complex systems. * At least 2 years experience working with the CMMI and ISO 9001 standards. * Good analytical skills with a research-oriented mindset (benchmarking, trade-off’s, analysis, prototyping, etc.) preferred. * Good knowledge of data security concepts would be preferable. * An interest and experience in dealing with external vendors/suppliers..Desired Certifications/Qualifications
· MCSE preferred.
