Job Title: RF Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead RF design and optimization activities for a UMTS/GSM network using enterprise post-processing and KPI reporting application for cluster/market acceptance. * The job requires performance of routine tasks with limited supervision in order to execute/follow specific instructions on required tasks with expected performance results. * Unlike RF I, the RF II technical competence are focused around optimization active activities rather than just data processing. * Perform drive test processing and report generation * Perform RF network design, planning and optimization activities; perform link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis. * Ensure data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration. * Carry out area and site surveys to identify RF equipment location and antenna orientation; analyze equipment and antenna co-location requirements for different technologies. * Perform inter-modulation analysis; perform site candidate evaluation; verify RF related site engineering drawings; perform site build verification and acceptance

Job Requirements:

* BSEE or Equivalent plus 5 years relevant RF Engineering experience * 5+ years of GSM Design/Performance/Optimization experience using at least 2 of the three vendor equipments: Nokia, Nortel and Ericsson * Solid understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF Engineering tools and antenna theory. * Experience with drive-test tools such as Ericsson TEMS, Andrew Invex3G, Anite Nemo, PCTEL etc. * Experience with post-processing tools like Actix Analyzer * Familiar with ancillary RF equipment such as TMAs, AISG, RET antennas, etc * UMTS Optimization & Design Experience with Nokia/Alcatel/Ericsson/Nortel 3G RF Experience * Familiarity/experience with GIS software (MapInfo) * Aircom Asset RF planning tool experience * Actix (RadioPlan) ACP tool experience * UMTS network design using Asset and Radioplan
