BI Consultant
We are looking for a Developer/Technical Lead, as well as a Senior Consultant, who will be responsible for designing coding and testing BI solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and related BI Tools. Our Developer/ Technical Lead / Sr. Consultant will be key in delivering our consulting services to clients with in our Microsoft solution offerings. This role will serve as an expert in respective Microsoft solutions and help to build knowledge and expertise within our practice.
BI experience and knowledge must include:
· Solid experience as a SQL Server 2005 BI developer
· BI presentation delivery utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other BI tools SQL Server 2005 RDBMS database development including TSQL programming.
· SQL Server 2005 OLAP database development including MDX programming.
· ETL implementation using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
· Migration of existing data warehouse and business intelligence from other BI platforms or earlier versions of the MS Platform
· Knowledge of the Kimball DW/BI Design & Implementation Methodologies
· Data modeling based on business requirements, and optimization of data models for business intelligence implementations
This position requires:
· Development experience in team environment with mid to high end projects from inception through delivery.
· Assistance in preparation of project proposals, including client and vendor meetings
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, between both the customer and all levels within the organization
· Analytical and problem solving capability with proven experience in technology leadership roles
· Proven ability to identify and define solutions and develop pragmatic and practical solutions
· Bachelor's degree
· Ability to travel up to 50%-75% in the Southeast Region
Additional knowledge desired by not required:
· Excel integration / BI capabilities of Office 2007
· Reporting Services Integration /deployment
· Business Objects /Oracle BI (including Hyperion)
· Visio, ERwin or similar data modeling tools
· Other non Microsoft database platform and ETL experience, including Oracle, DataStage
· Knowledge of consulting / project management methodologies
· Knowledge of other 3rd party BI Tools
· SharePoint and or Performance Point integration/ deployment
