We are looking for a Server Maintenance Engineer in Tampa, Florida. The Server Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for managing the worksite to ensure maximum uptime for network server infrastructure systems and applications and resolves incidents or outages. The Engineer will provide overall enterprise level network system administration, planning, and management. They will be responsible for the design, management, monitoring, and optimization of a geographically dispersed networked system. Performing system administration, operations and maintenance, and upgrades will be a daily requirement, in addition to developing, implementing and documenting the network systems.
This position requires both a broad and deep knowledge of the technology and the ability to architect solutions by applying advanced analysis skills to map customer business challenges to reusable and appropriate end-to-end technology solutions.
The incumbent will establish and operate a server maintenance program that provides systems administration, operations and maintenance, and support for an enterprise network. The incumbent will manage the individuals responsible for storage area networks (SAN), software applications, firmware, and network security.
Relocation to Tampa, FL, required; work to be done on-site in secure military facility. Travel will be required as needed and therefore will require the possession and maintenance of a current U.S. passport.
Mandatory Requirements:
* CA Unicenter Experience * MCSE 2003. * AS degree preferable in Computer Science, computer Engineering or computer Systems. * 7 years relevant and progressively increasing responsibility. * 5 years relevant technical projects, with 1 in the last 3 years. * Expertise in messaging architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementations. * Experience and expertise (Tier 3) with Microsoft Server 2003 * Experience and expertise with Active Directory, Exchange, Domain Naming Server (DNS), Flexible Single Master Station (FSMO) Roles, User Groups, Group Policy, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Backup/Data Archival. * Large Scale server designs including high availability using clustering and Storage Area Networks (SANs). * Design and deployment experience with Instant Messaging such as Live Communication Server (LCS). Desired Requirements: * Proven experience in problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the system engineer level. * Proven ability to manage others in an Enterprise Server Environment.Viewed: 36 times
