Vaco Technology has an immediate opening for a Manager of Software Engineering. Must have experience with C++ in Linux enviornment. Please only apply if you live within 50 miles.
The Manager will oversee software project engineering to design, develop, and integrate software products into our products through engineering analysis, research and design. Some of the responsibilities include:
Plans and carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives. Keeps Teamleader informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications
Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of two (2) or more team members; participates in the decision to hire, fire, and promote team members; generally does not conduct the same work as team members on a regular basis.
-Willing to travel on a regular basis both domestically and internationally
-Present for core business hours but hours may increase or vary based on fluctuating workloads
-Required to be on-call
-Must be computer literate with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project
-Experience with several software development environments including C++, Linux, RTOS, databases
-Ability to interact with a wide range of Customer groups, both internal and external
-Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner
-Understanding of communications theory and electrical design
