The successful Senior Software Developer analyzes, designs, develops, tests and implements new application components, maintains and optimizes already deployed Enterprise applications to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
The Senior Software Developer creates thorough, professional quality project documentation and technical specifications. This will include assessing the impact of software changes and new development on other systems; conducting integration tests to mitigate risks.
Looking for an individual who is able to lead technical teams, mentor peers and junior team members. Required to exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
Technical Qualifications:
• Expert level (5 years or more) experience designing and developing enterprise level applications using .NET and related technologies.
• Extensive experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledgeable of XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI standards.
• Experience in Web Services design and integration.
• Experience with information modeling using XML and XML-related technologies, including XSLT
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies
• Experience with UML modeling tools
• Knowledge and understanding of relational database design and programming using SQL on DB2 and SQL Server databases.
• Knowledge of implementing and managing Privacy, Security Policies and Procedures for database access and electronic data interchange (EDI) compliance with data standards set out by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its associated rules
Technical Skills:
C#, Design Patterns, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005/2008, SQL Server 2005/2008, Enterprise Architect
Preferred SOA Architect skills:
• Experience using ESB software
• Data Warehousing
