Looking for a candidate with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) data production analyst. The individual will analyze, produce, edit, integrate, and manipulate GEOINT data for Mission Training and Planning Systems (MTPS) to include all mission training, planning, preview, and rehearsal systems used by SOF personnel in the performance of their assigned missions.
The incumbent will function as a GEOINT Analyst responsible for acquiring, analyzing, synthesizing, and exploiting imagery and GEOINT intelligence information derived from a variety of intelligence sources. These responsibilities include the creation of imagery-based geospatial intelligence products used in the creation of 3D scene visualization databases for SOF Mission Training and Preparation Systems (MTPS). Specifically, the incumbent will process national technical means and commercial imagery intelligence into annotated imagery products utilized in the production of specific models that represent SOF targets within synthetic environment databases. Common tasks will include: performing radiometric, spectral, and geographic spatial resolution enhancements to national technical means and commercial imagery intelligence to be utilized in the production of 3D scene visualization databases as well as ortho-rectification, and the creation of mosaics, re-projects, and formats of national technical means and commercial imagery into a specific geospatial imagery raster layer of intelligence information utilized in the production of synthetic environment databases.
Duty as an imagery and GEOINT analyst requires extensive knowledge in photogrammetry and geospatial referencing systems and procedures. Incumbent should have the ability to view imagery in stereo mode to determine the correct elevation values of the data. Ability to view imagery in stereo to discern relief displacement, distinguish principal colors, with 20/20 near visual acuity or better with or without corrective lenses is required. Far visual acuity of 20/60 or better binocular vision required with or without corrective lenses.
Incumbent must have comprehensive knowledge of mapping, charting, and geographic (MC&G) data and imagery formatted data that may be used as source data in the production of imagery based geospatial products. As a result, the incumbent must be extremely knowledgeable of the DoD intelligence and Geospatial Information and Services (Gl&S) community. As a GEOINT analyst, the incumbent must maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of imagery and geospatial database systems, and stay abreast of changes in technology that effect the exploitation of imagery and geospatial data construction tools. The incumbent must also have a strong working knowledge of physical, personnel, industrial, and other related security disciplines as they pertain to operations in a SCIF.
The analyst's primary imagery and geospatial production tools include ERDAS Imagine (Professional, NITF 2.1, LPS Core, Mosaic Pro, VirtualGIS), MATRIX, and SOCET SET (and/or GXP), and ESRI ArcGIS. The analyst's secondary imagery and geospatial production systems include TerraExplorer and Builder Database Generation Systems, TERREX Terra Vista Database Generation Systems, MultiGen Creator, RainStorm, and PSS-SOF.
