Job Description:
This position will be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of all databases and related tasks. This includes standard DBA functions such as optimization, monitoring and troubleshooting, but may include other system administration duties as well. Ideal candidate will be able to administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of databases. This person will implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of all databases and all aspects administration * Monitor and maintain SQL Server replication and data integrity across databases * Maintain software versions, patches and fixes * Participate in execution of implementation plans for all enterprise systems. Adapts software and documentation, performs testing; establishes operation procedures * Participate in monitoring, testing and performing recovery operations with stored and archived data and images using network storage devices * Responsible for database capacity planning and resource management, including storage and operating system resources * Establishes and manages database security policies and procedure. Conducts database auditing to ensure such policies are complied with * Leads ongoing database and system performance monitoring in order to proactively diagnose potential performance issues and participates in troubleshooting those to ensure optimum performance * Responsible for system error diagnosis and troubleshooting, as well as with proactively addressing potential systems failures * Identifies poorly performing queries, stored procedures, views and tables and takes steps to improve performance, including but not limited to code optimizationViewed: 26 times
